Steam will need the microphone to support voice chat It's as though the following is missing from the ist: I can select either in my FRIENDS LIST SETTINGS > VOICE and 'Start Microphone Test' to zero effect. Steam is not listed as an app with access to the microphone.Ĭan confirm that the voice chat in steam does not read anything from my Microphones. 'Allow the apps below to access your microphone.'

Security & Privacy (system preference pane open) If I could attach a picture, it would show: So what is a mac user to do if their microphone IS NOT working AND the Steam app DOES NOT SHOW up as an option to grant permission to?
